Glenrose Georgia Saathoff was born in Hondo on January 8, 1925 to Alfred and Ella Brucks. Glenrose was baptized and confirmed into the Methodist faith. On September 4, 1941, Glenrose married Arnold Saathoff and joined St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. They began their life together on the farm in the house built by Glenrose's father. She enjoyed a busy life as a homemaker and wife of a farmer and rancher. Glenrose was a devoted daughter, wife and mother. Together she and Arnold raised two daughters, Glenetta and Tangee.
