Gloria Quintanilla Sanchez, age 62, of Hondo passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015. Born in Hondo, Jan. 19, 1953, she was the daughter of Alejos and Juanita Tapia Quintanilla. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sylvia Constante. Survivors include her husband, Jose Sanchez; son, Joe James (Guadalupe) Sanchez; daughters, Norma Guzman and Anna (Guadalupe) Valenzuela, all of Hondo; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Alejos Quintanilla Jr., Emilio Quintanilla and Rudy Quintanilla, all of Hondo; sisters, Sulema Fernandez of Carrizo Springs and Leticia Gauna of Kerrville; and sisters- and brothers-in-law, Estella Quintanilla, Isabel Quintanilla, Hope Quintanilla, Ricky Fernandez and Juan Gauna. Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 26, 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with interment at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
