Gregorio Torres, 84, of Hondo passed away Sunday, Mar. 14, 2021.

Born July 5, 1936, in San Angelo, he was the son of Bartolo and Refugia "Cuca" Acosta Torres.

A long-time resident of Hondo, he was well-known for his carpentry and home remodeling skills.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margarita Sanchez Torres; and siblings, Vicente, Pedro, Josephine and Petra.

He is survived by his sons, Eddie Torres of Indianapolis ID, Gregorio Tores Jr. and Ruben Torres, both of Hondo; daughters, Norma (Gustavo) Gomez and Diana Ybarra, all of Hondo, and Lisa Torres of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren, 19  great-grandchildren; and brothers, Armando Torres and David Torres, both of San Antonio, Santiago Torres of San Angelo; and sister, Juana Aguirre of San Angelo.

Visitation will be Thursday, Mar. 18, 6 to 8 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Mar. 19, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
