Harold James Bohlen, Age 78 years, 10 months, and 22 days, of Hondo, Texas, died on Saturday, December 25, 2004. He was born in Dunlay, on February 3, 1926, the son of John George & Emma Leonora (Breiten) Bohlen. He worked at the Hondo Base until it closed the he went to work at the Media Base. Later he worked at Kelly Air Force Base, after retiring from civil service he farmed and ranched. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Clarence E. Bohlen, sisters Esther L. Saathoff, Lucille A. Saathoff. Harold is survived by his wife Wilma Aleen (Breiten) Bohlen; sons Robert Allen Bohlen and wife Deberah of Hondo, James Harold Bohlen of Hondo; daughter Sharon Elaine Wadlington and husband Ben of Adkins grandsons Mark, Paul and John Wadlington, step grandsons Matthew Crickard and wife Tiffanie, Joseph Crickard, step great grandson Kaleb Crickard; brother Roy Bohlen and wife Aleen of Hondo; sister-in-law Evelyn Dawson and husband George of San Antonio; brother-in-laws John A. Breiten and wife Susie of WI, Alfred R. Breiten and wife Mildred of San Antonio; stepsister Mary Ann Hartmann and husband Harold of Hondo. The Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 28 at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 29, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hondo. The casketbearers were Mark Wadlington, John Wadlington, Joseph Crickard, Howard Saathoff, Paul Wadlington, Matthew Crickard, Marvin Kriewald, Galen Bohlen. The Honorary casketbearers were Glenn Bohlen, J.E. Saathoff, Alan Bohlen, Cordell Bohlen, Gary Dawson, Thad Dawson, Leonard Saathoff, Claude Schuehle, Richard Saathoff, Sean Breiten, Bruce Dawson. Burial will follow in the Quihi Cemetery.
