Harvey Burle Rich Jr., age 63, of rural Hondo passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015. Born Jan. 25, 1952, in San Bernardino CA, he was the son of Harvey Burle Sr. and Kathleen Irene McPhee Rich. He joined the U.S Army and served in Vietnam, earning a Purple Heart and other awards. Later in life, while still raising small children, he received his BA from Incarnate Word College. While Harvey had a passion for art and a love of the beauty our earth has to offer, his deepest pride came from being a beloved grandpa to his seven granddaughters and two grandsons. He loved them so much! He is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Joe Blankenship; and two nephews. He is survived by his son, Rudolph Michael Rich of San Antonio; daughters, Renee Marie Campbell (Nathan) of Honey Grove and Rochelle Martina-Rich Crenshaw of San Antonio; nine grandchildren; and sisters, Gloria Moore, Linda Carr, Nancy Long and Eleanor Rich. Visitation will be Monday, Mar. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Graveside service with military honors will be at 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, Mar. 3, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209
