Hector Garcia of D'Hanis passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at the age of 62.

Born May 13, 1959, in Hondo, he was the son of Emilio M. and Carolina Ortiz Garcia, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by sons, Hector Garcia, Jr. (Jessica) of Houston and Joel Garcia of San Antonio; daughter, Latanya De Leon of Hondo; grandchildren, Sofia, Beau, Laylia, Laloni, Luna, J.J., Alysha, Maddie and Jordan; sisters, Alma Garcia of D'Hanis, Yolanda Leivas (Tony) of Austin, Gracie Garcia of Hondo, Adriana Garcia of D'Hanis; and brother, Victor Garcia (Angelita) of San Antonio.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Holy Cross Catholic Church from 9 to10 a.m., followed by the Rosary at 10:00 and Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis.
