Helen Lenora (Driver) Chambers Elliott of Proctor, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 15, 2007, at the age of 80. Helen was born on February 5, 1927, in Alexander, Texas, the daughter of Joseph Lonzo & Clarice Ophelia (Barnett) Driver. In the late 60's she had a beauty shop on 29 1/2 Street in Hondo. In the early 90's she sold real estate in Dublin. Helen was able to find love twice in her life when she met Jimmy, they lived in Proctor and had a great spread of land with a fish pond and a lot of cows. She loved raising cows and taking a drive out in the back pasture. She was preceded in death by her first husband C. A. Chambers; son, John L. Chambers who was killed in Vietnam; brother, Lynn Driver; sisters, Doris Jaggers, Betty Vaughn and Gladys Ramey; brothers-in-law, Bob Ramey and Joe Bagwell; granddaughter, Tracy Baker; and grandson, Garland Baker. She is survived by her husband Jimmy Elliott of Proctor; daughter, Sherry Fleeman and husband Jim of Red Oak; son, Garland Chambers and wife Flo of Zapata; daughters, Cathy Baker of Hasse, Debra Wooldridge and husband Joe of Big Spring; son, Charles Chambers of Glenn Heights; Eleven grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; step-daughter, Suelynn Bledsoe of Arlington, step-sons, Travis Elliott of Austin, Daniel Elliott of Arlington; step-daughter, Laura Tinsley of Dallas; eight step-grandchildren; brother, Morris Driver of Pampa; sister, Rose Bagwell of Comanche. Visitation will be at the Harrell Funeral Home, in Dublin, Texas on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Harrell Funeral Home on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. The Burial Service will at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section on Friday, October 19 at 1:00 p.m.
