Hilda Mae Leinweber, age 82, of San Antonio passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012. Born June 21, 1930, in Hondo, she was the daughter of Henry August Leinweber and Emilie Margaret (Reitzer) Leinweber. She grew up in the Hondo area, was baptised and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, and still looked forward to receiving the church bulletin after she moved to San Antonio. She was a housekeeper in private homes and worked for a time with Goodwill. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, infant Ella A. Leinweber, Homer Leinweber, Edna Geuea and Lela Garland. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Maxine Leinweber; nephews, Timothy J. Leinweber and Mark Leinweber, all of Uvalde, and Frank W. Garland, Betty Jean Smith and Phil Henry Garland, all of Ohio. Funeral service was held Sunday, June 24, 2 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Bearers were Mark Leinweber, Timothy Leinweber, Chris Goetzel and James Walter Leinweber. The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 58, Hondo TX 78861.
