Hogan Pelton, age 92, a resident of Hondo and Castroville and formerly of Hot Springs Village, AR, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013. Born March 6, 1920, in Benton, AR, he was the son of Marion and Rose (Rainey) Pelton. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan Georgette (Percy) Pelton; sister, Norma Jean; and brother, Billy. He is survived by daughters, Margaret R. Koch and husband, Hilmer A. "Tony" of D'Hanis and Toni Pelton of Capitola, CA; grandchildren, Lisa Jenkins of Capitola, CA, and Yvonne Caruso and Jimmy Bradley Bailey and wife Michelle; great-grandchildren, Colten Bailey and Jacob Ryan Bailey, all of Hondo; brother, Robert Pelton; and twin sisters, Della Lee and Stella Carraway, all of Benton, AR. A private memorial service will be held in his hometown of Benton, AR, at Kirk in the Pines, Hot Springs Village, AR. The family suggests memorals may be made in his name to a local charity of your choice.
