Obituary

Ida Mae Brown Pichot, age 88, of Uvalde, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009 in Castroville. Mrs. Pichot was born in Goose Creek, Texas on Feb. 19, 1921. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Robie Brown and Ida Gertrude Oliver Brown; husband, Homer Louis Pichot; daughter, Barbara Jean Anderson and her husband, Andy, and brother, Bobby Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Jo Pichot of Quihi; granddaughter, Teresa Cook and her husband, Frank W. Sr. of Quihi; great grandchildren, Robert Lee Cook III, Rebecca Walls and her husband, Rodney, Wesley Cook; brother, Donald Brown and his wife, Sue of Friendswood; nephews, Brad Brown, Andrew Brown, Rob La Pointe and his wife, Izumi, Kenneth Brown and his wife, Vera; niece, Melba Sexton and her husband, John. Visitation will be held at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home in Castroville on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at New Fountain United Methodist Church in New Fountain. She will be laid to rest in the Oakwood Section of Hondo Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her memory to New Fountain United Methodist Church or to the Order of the Eastern Star.
