Illa Ulen Alfredson, Age 84 years, 1 month, and 7 days, of Hondo, Texas, died on Monday, November 22, 2004. She was born in Morrilton, AR on October 15, 1920, the daughter of James Alvin & Thelma G. (Nation) Webb. She moved to Texas as a child. She worked for civil service in the Medical Field and for 8 years as an aid for General Dr. Baker at Wiesbadden Hospital. At the end of her tour in Europe she was assigned to Headquarters as a writer / editor. She took retirement in 1977. She moved to a small horse farm for a short period. She and her husband, Ed, became full time travelers going to Alaska, lower Mexico, wintering in South Central Mexico and traveling most of the 48 continental states. They stopped for a while on a X-Mas tree farm in Yoncalla, OR and built an R.V. Park at Eleton, OR. They again got travel fever and did many tours of the central and southern states and then made a permanent residence in the SKP Park west of Hondo. She was preceded in death by her parents. Illa is survived by her husband Edward Alfredson. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
