Indalecio Gonzalez, Jr. of Hondo, Texas, passed away November 1, 2005, at the age of 99. He was born August 30, 1906, in Eagle Pass, the Son of Indalecio & Juanita (Ramirez) Gonzalez. Indalecio was retired from the Hondo City Water Department after 42 years of employment He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rosa (Fernandez) Gonzalez, sisters Beatrice "Sapopa" Hernandez, Carmen Mendez, Guadalupe Medina, Jesusa Gonzalez, Soledad Velasquez, Andrea Martinez, Maria Lara, Elena Villa Senor; brothers Margarito Gonzalez, Manuel Gonzalez. Indalecio is survived by his son Manuel Gonzalez and wife Margaret of Ft. Worth; daughter Esperanza Moreno and husband Arnoldo of San Antonio; son Indalecio Gonzalez, III of Hondo; daughter Lydia Najera and husband Juventino of Clyde; son Gonzalo Ramirez and wife Dolores of Abilene; Nine grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brother Jose Gonzalez of Hondo; sister Juanita Flores of Natalia. The Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr Jeff Pehl, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday November 4, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The pallbearers were Juventino Najera, Steve O. Hernandez, Arnoldo Moreno, Sr., Arnoldo Moreno, Jr., Norberto Mendez, Eric Gonzalez. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
