Isidra Contreras was born May 15, 1938 in Hondo. She passed away April 29, 2003 in San Antonio at the age of 64 years 11 months and 14 days. Isidra was preceded in death by her parents: Victoriano & Malaquias (Rico) Martinez; daughter-in-law: Janie Martinez; son-in-law: Jesse Lara. Surviving are her husband: Juan Contreras, Jr.; daughter: Mary E. Rodriguez and husband Carlos, son: Oscar Contreras; daughter: Blanche C. Santillano and husband Albert; son: Roy Contreras and wife Becky; daughter: Olga Contreras; son: Victor Contreras and wife Cynthia; daughter: Linda Contreras; son: Gilbert Contreras and wife Anna; daughter: Sonia Treviño and husband Steve; sons: Juan Contreras, III, and Mark Contreras; 25 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren; brothers: Pedro Martinez and wife Lupe, Marcelino Martinez and wife Nicolasa, Celestino Martinez; sisters: Mary Ybarra and husband Ramon, Petra Dtuarte and husband Angel, Pilar Lara. The pall/casketbearers were Oscar Contreras, Sr., Roy Contreras, Sr., Victor Contreras, Sr., Gilbert Contreras, Juan Contreras, III, Mark Contreras. The Rosary was at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 2, and the Funeral Mass was at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 3, both at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
