Jacinta Cadena, age 81, of Sinton passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. Born in Hondo, Mar. 4, 1933, she was the daughter of Luz and Juanita Galvan Zavala. She will be remembered as a good daughter, sister, wife, mother and as a good human being. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Saragoso Cadena; sisters, Josephina Arredondo and Guadalupe Cuellar; and daughter-in-law, Priscilla Cadena. Survivors include her sons, Raul (Lali) Cadena, Jose (Eva) Cadena and Joseph Cadena; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Nieves Duran and Marcelina Vasquez. A Rosary was recited Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Guinn-Horger Chapel and funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Jan. 21, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment was at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
