Jackie Lee Head Burgin of San Antonio, 76, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018. Born in San Antonio, Dec. 17, 1941, she was the daughter of Leo Lloyd Head Sr. and Inez Almeda King Head. Jackie was a descendant of Alamo defender Gregorio Esparza. She had many friends and was always one who was willing to help anyone. She loved dancing, gardening, cooking and crafting. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Leo Lloyd Head Jr. Survivors include her husband, William Louis "Billy" Burgin of San Antonio; two sons, William (Bonnie) Bassett of White Bear Lake MN and John C. Bassett of Henderson NV; two stepsons, Arlen (Kimberly) Burgin of Converse and William Burgin of Canyon Lake; two grandsons and a stepgranddaughter; sisters, Lucille Watters of San Antonio and Barbara (Gary) Golden of Wisconsin; brother, Charles (Lois) Head of St. Cloud MN; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 9 to 10 a.m., will be followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel and interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
