Jacklyn Andreana "Jackie" Flores, age 17, of Hondo passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 3, 2014, in Longview. She was born in Hondo June 21, 1996. Jackie was a beautiful person inside and out. She was an outgoing person who was full of life with many dreams and aspirations. She understood the depths and emotions of her friends' and family's hearts. She listened with an ever-caring ear and spoke words of love and encouragement with her voice. She loved music, dancing and, mostly, spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by loving parents, her father, Monico Flores, and mother, Mary Guedea, both of Hondo; brothers, Angel Flores, Darren Flores and Jason Flores; stepmom, Rhonda Flores; sister-in-law, Mystery Flores; half-brothers and -sisters, Jonathan, Jessilyn, Janyce and Monico Flores Jr.; grandmother, Juanita Flores of Hondo; grandpa, Andy Sedillo of San Antonio; grandma, Nieves Garza of San Antonio; step-grandmother, Ruth Ann Asher; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Miguel Flores Jr. A Rosary service will be held Friday, May 9, 7 p.m., at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 10, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
