James Oliver "Buddy" Cagle, 79, of Hondo went to be with the Lord on Oct. 27, 2012. He was born in San Antonio on June 24, 1933, to Theodore and Alice (Schweers) Cagle. He graduated from Hondo High School, was a member of the New Fountain United Methodist Church, and was a Past Master of Hondo City Lodge No. 756 AF&AM. He loved his family and always loved bragging about his children and grandchildren. He never met a stranger and loved to visit with anyone he saw and tell a joke or two. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean (Simpson) Cagle; sister, Marilyn Bohmfalk; and brother-in-law, Ralph Tindall. James is survived by his children: daughter, Jeanette Fortin, daughter and son-in-law, Janene and Jeff Daniel, and son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Lynn Cagle; grandchildren, Morgan Wright and husband Josh, Josh Cagle, Austin Fortin, Connor Cagle, Dalton Fortin, Amy Fortin, and Audrey Cagle; and great-grandchildren, Owen and Autumn Wright; sister, Peggy Tindall; brother-in-law, Clifford Bohmfalk; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 4, 2 p.m., at New Fountain United Methodist Church. The family suggests memorials may be made to the New Fountain United Methodist Church Building Fund or a charity of your choice.
