James Winfred Hester passed away on April 26th, 2008 at the age of 89. He was born in High Point, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his wife Elna Hall Hester to whom he was married for 65 years, mother Mary Witcher, father John Hester, and 3 brothers and 7 sisters. He is survived by his daughters Annette Stiegler and husband Ralph Christian, Jr. of Hondo, and Sherion Calhoun and husband Ronald Brian Calhoun of Scottsdale, AZ. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The family would like to give our love and thanks to Nola Hanson who was always there with love and support for James. A memorial service will be held May 3rd at 11:00 First United Methodist Church, of Hondo.
