Funeral services celebrating the life of James Douglas Scott will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with The Reverend Steve Brandow officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball. The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and continued Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be held in the Chapel Sunday at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Michael Young officiating. Mr. Scott, 73, of Sabinal, Texas passed from this life on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Mary Ethel Scott; sisters, Rebecca Scott and Yolanda Scott. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Julia M. Scott; children and spouses, Debra and Tony Sweigart of San Antonio, Texas, James D. Scott, Jr. of Sabinal, Texas, Connie McElhinney of Benton, Arkansas, Julia and Toby Comeaux of Walker, Louisiana, Charles and Sandra Scott of Sealy, Texas, Cindy Scott of Sabinal, Texas, Rebecca Wiltse of San Antonio, Texas, Mike Leon Scott of Zwolle, Louisiana and Yolanda and Robert Samaniego of Sabinal, Texas; 27 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Pallbearers honored to serve will be James Scott III, Jeff Scott, Robert Samaniego, Jr., Cade Everett, Jeremy Contreras, Levi Wiltse, Weston Wiltse and Charles Scott, Jr.
