Jean Simpson Cagle, Age 60 years, 1 month, and 25 days, of Hondo, Texas, died on Thursday, September 2, 2004. She was born in Sweetwater, Texas on July 8, 1944, the daughter of Louis I. & Josephine (Fitzgerald) Simpson and later moved to San Antonio with her family. She was in the National Honor Society, The Texas State Choir, and active in Theatre at Thomas Jefferson HS and San Antonio College.. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jean is survived by her husband: James O. Cagle of Hondo; sons: Count Lee Bower and wife Darcene, Chris Bower both of San Antonio; stepson Jeff Cagle and wife Lynn of Huntsvill, AL; stepdaughters: Jeannette Fortin and husband David of Kwajalein Atol, Marshall Islands, Janene McColery and husband Brad of Colorado Springs, CO; brother James L. Simpson and wife Linda of San Antonio. The Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday September 4, at the New Fountain United Methodist Church. The family suggest donations to the New Fountain United Methodist Church Memorial Fund of a diabetes related charity.
