Jenaro Aguiñaga, Age 80 years, 6 months, and 17 days, of Hondo, Texas, died on Thursday, January 27, 2005. He was born in D'Hanis, on July 10, 1924, the son of Leonzo & Luz (Garza) Aguiñaga. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Guadalupe Aguiñaga, Porfirio Aguiñaga, Valante Aguiñaga; sisters Isabal Aguiñaga, Juanita Flores; brother-in-law Pedro Mares. Jenaro is survived by his brothers Leonzo Aguiñaga, Jr., and wife Martha of Washington, Domingo Aguiñaga, Simon Aguiñaga of Washington; sisters Maria Mares of Hondo, Hortencia Sandez of Arizona. The rosary was at 7:00 pm Sunday, January 30, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass was at 10:00 am Monday, January 31, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with burial following in the Wernette Family Cemetery in D'Hanis. The Funeral Mass was led by Fr. Jeff Pehl. The pallbearers were Roberto Mares, Jr., Luis A. Escamilla, Luis M. Escamilla, Jr., Joe DeLeon, Siluim Gonzales, Jr., A. J. Mares, Phillip Ramirez, Conan Ytuarte.
