Jeremy Roy Torres of Hondo, 23, was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Born Dec. 3, 1992, in San Antonio, he was the son of Roy and Alicia Sanchez Torres. He was an avid gamer and an on-line friend to many. Jeremy enjoyed spending time with friends and family on the river and at the gulf. He worked as an inserter at the Hondo Anvil Herald for six years. Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Faustino and Louisa Sanchez and Raul and Juanita Torres; uncles, Raul Torres and Sam Torres; and aunt, Ruth Sanchez. He is survived by his parents; cousins who, when they came to live with his family, became his "adopted" sister and brother, Victoria Sanchez and Luis Sanchez, all of Hondo; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7 p.m., on Friday, July 8, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section
