Jerome Henry Schulte, age 79, of Hondo passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010. Born April 26, 1930, in Hondo, he was the son of Henry John and Lorine (Saathoff) Schulte, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris LaVerne (Wiemers) Schulte; daughters, Diane Mann and husband Dennis of Hondo; Kay Somerford and husband Roby of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Randy Mann of Plano, Steven and Megan Werner-Mann of San Antonio, Amy Somerford of Frisco, Rachel Somerford of Addison; beloved great-granddaughter, Rebekah Werner-Mann; sister, Doris Gordon and husband Carl of Carmichael CA; and brothers, Clyde Schulte and wife Yvonne of Santa Ana CA and Richard Schulte and wife Gayle of Hondo. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 28, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Pallbearers include Randy Mann, Amy Somerford, Rachel Somerford, Rod Schulte, Tom Woytasczyk and Jeff Lynch. Honorary bearer is Steven Mann.
