Jesse Doyle "J.D." Allen, age 90, of Hondo passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012. Born May 21, 1922, he was the son of Elbert Webster and Margaret Luella (Lacy) Allen. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mabel Gladys (Waddell) Allen; daughter, Judy Kay Brown; grandchildren, Christopher Lee Heickman and Shawna Allen; and siblings. He is survived by his son, Elbert Allen; daughter, Melinda Coleman; and grandchildren, Amber Cortez, Celeste Hernandez, Shane Brown, Megan Jean Allen, Dallas Rene Deaver, Wesley Norton Allen and Presley Nicole Deaver.
