Jesusa L. "Susie" Soliz, age 65, one month, and four days, of Devine, passed away March 31, 2004, in Victoria. Susie was born on February 27, 1939, in Yancey, TX, to Hilberto & Eva (Tovar) Leal. Susie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Jose Maria Leal, Modesto Leal; sister: Elosia Dean; grandsons Alexander Soliz, James Soliz. She is survived by her loving husband: Jose G. Soliz; son: Jose Antonio Soliz and wife Terri of Hondo; daughter: Olga S. Rodriguez and husband Ruben H. of Hondo; son: Armondo Soliz of Yancey; daughter Norma Garcia and husband Fidencio of Yancey; sons: Guillermo "Willie" Soliz and wife Sylvia of Yancey, Jorge Ramirez of Victoria; 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; sister Anita Hernandez of Devine. Susie worked at community Care Center in Hondo. The Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Sunday, April 4, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 am on Monday, April 5, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Yancey Cemetery.
