E. Jewell Cloud Riff was born October 2, 1921 in Connehata, MS. She passed away May 1, 2003 in Hondo at the age of 82 years 6 months and 29 days. Jewell was preceded in death by her parents: James LaFayette & Emma Bell (Anderson) Cloud; husband: Nick Garrison Riff; sister: Pansy Sommers; brothers; Bill Cloud and Vernon Cloud. Surviving are her son: Dr. Glen Riff and wife Kathy of Hondo; daughters: Pam Muennink and Maggie Riff of Hondo; grandsons: Scott Muennink and girlfriend, Kristin Hale, Chris Muennink and wife, Aimee, Brett Riff and wife, Crystal, Brian Riff, and Michael Riff; great-grandson, Cade Allen Muennink; brother, Orin Cloud; sisters: Bobbie Haire, Betty and husband, Stanley Oakley, and Virginia Spangler; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The casketbearers were Todd Beck, Nathan Lessing, Jonathan Schoellman, Richard Scholtz, Scott Schulte, and Willie Scott. The Funeral Service was at 2:30 pm on Saturday, May 3, at the New Fountain United Methodist Church. Interment followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
