Jiles Milton Dunn, age 91, of Hondo, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013. Born Dec.15, 1921, in Ricardo, Texas, he was the son of Carey and Mayme (Simmons) Dunn. Milton served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII. He was a John Deere farm equipment salesman. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marilyn Noakes Dunn; and brothers, Elmer, Bill, and M.L. Dunn. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann (Shoup) Wernette Dunn; daughter, Barbara D. Roach of San Antonio; son, Larry S. Dunn of Victoria; daughter, Jayme D. Hetherington and husband Dave of Grand Junction CO; stepchildren, Carol Ann Roberts and husband Dow of Fair Oaks Ranch, Eddie Wernette and wife Theresa of Bulverde; Bob Wernette and wife Brenda of Hondo; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, followed by interment at 2 p.m. at Mission Park North Cemetery, San Antonio. The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the charity of one's choice.
