Jimmie John Neuman, age 72, of Hondo entered rest on Aug. 18, 2013 in San Antonio. He was born on Jan. 25, 1941 in Hondo, TX. Jimmie was a loving father and brother. He served in the Army National Guard. For many years he worked for Medina County in the maintenance department. He began his career as a heavy equipment operator and retired in 2012 as a road and bridge foreman in Precinct 2. He is preceded in death by his parents: Joseph Fritz and Lucille Rose Schneider Neuman; wife, Barbara Covey Neuman; brother, Jerry Neuman and sister-in-law, Loraine J. Neuman. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Neuman of Navasota; brothers, Wesley Neuman and Charles J. (Connie) Neuman all of Hondo; dearest friend and caretaker Lydia Aguinaga of Hondo; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home in Castroville. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013 at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hondo Cemetery in Hondo.
