Jose Maria "Joe" Briseño III of Hondo, 66, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019, at a San Antonio hospital. Born Aug. 28, 1952, in Hondo, he was the son of Jose Maria Briseño Jr. and Anita Urrutia Briseño. Joe attended D'Hanis schools and served Medina, Atascosa and Bandera counties for many years as a dispatcher and deputy. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jesse, and an infant brother. He is survived by his sisters, Diamantina B. Chacon and Margarita B. (Raul) Melendrez, all of San Antonio, and other extended family members. A private memorial service was held. The family suggests memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
