Joe Anthony Vosquez of Hondo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 9, 2006, at the age of 24. He was born in Pearsall, Texas, January 14, 1982, the son of Jose Angel Vosquez and Rosa Jasso Sanchez. He enjoyed spending time at family gatherings. He was a wonderful loving father and husband. Joe died when a maintaince train he on derailed in California. He is preceded in death by his brother Abel Sanchez. Joe Anthony is survived by his wife, Aida Gomez; his daughters, Shelby Gomez, Joleigh Vosquez, and Jonathan Vosquez all of Hondo; brothers, Robert Sanchez and wife Nina of Lytle, Larry Sanchez of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Delma Torres and husband Eric of Hondo, Ruth Flores and husband Juan of Las Vegus, NV, Terry Ytuarte of Hondo, Cindy Jimenez and husband Carlos of Hondo, JoAnn Vosquez of Hondo; parents, Jose Angel Vosquez currently residing in Hondo and Rosa Jasso Sanchez currently of Las Vegus, NV; nieces, Brittany Ann Flores, Yvette Flores, Marissa Sanchez, Nenie Mendez, Ruby Garza, Samantha Ytuarte; nephews, Eric R. Torres, Jeremy Torres, John Abel Flores, Silvester Gutierrez, David Gutierrez, Dereck Ytuarte, Joe Louie Ytuarte, Jr., James Garcia, Joe Alex Quintanilla. The Rosary was at 7:00 p.m. on Friday November 17 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 a.m on Saturday November 18 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The pallbearers were Frank Escamilla, Joel N. Gonzales, Michael Tapia, Jr., Eric R. Torres, Brandon Jasso, Roger DeLeon, Eddie Ytuarte, Joel Ytuarte. Burial followed at the Yancey Cemetery.
