JoeNell Geuea Leinweber

JoeNell Geuea Leinweber of Bulverde passed away Friday, June 26, 2026, at her home. She was 103.

Born March 3,1923, in Hondo, she was the daughter of Charles Fritz “Charlie” and Ellie Carrie Elms Geuea.

JoeNell graduated from Medina High School in 1936 and immediately went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She remained with the company throughout her entire career, retiring in 1978. When her husband retired from Civil Service the following year, they enjoyed traveling and making precious memories with their grandchildren.

She kept herself busy crocheting, quilting, and crafting, creating beautiful handmade gifts to give away. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed, but we celebrate her new journey with Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hilmer Walter Leinweber; and her siblings, Edgar C. Geuea, George E. Geuea, Vernon N. “Buster” Geuea, Chester Geuea, Nora E. Anderson, Alice T. Mumme-Hartman, Florence E. “Flossie” Leinweber and Helen L. DeLong.

Survivors include son, Harold M. Leinweber; daughter, Linda Feichtinger (Kirk); seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel and interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, 5714 Callaghan Road, San Antonio TX 78228.
