John R. Schuehle, age 74 of Deer Park and formerly of Hondo, passed away suddenly May 5, 2018. Born May 27, 1943, in Waco, he was the son of Jake and Roselyn McLaughlin Schuehle. After graduation from Hondo High School in 1961, he continued his education, attending The University of Texas, where he pursued a master's degree in business and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was a GMC dealer and owner for many years. He was an avid pilot and loved his boat, Poco Mas. Always the life of the party, a jokester and storyteller, his loved ones looked forward to his visits. He lived with his longtime companion, Shirley Cline, in Deer Park. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Norman Buescher. Survivors include his brother, Hunter (Kita) Schuehle of Sabinal; sister, Judy Schuehle Buescher of Hondo; nieces, Kelly Buescher (LeeRoy) Moughon and Kyla Schuehle (Cody) Burell; nephew, Hunter (Tori) Buescher; great-nieces, Morgan Moughon (Jonathan) Peterson, Makayla and Ariana Buescher; great-nephews, Garrett and Reagan Moughon and Vance Buescher. A private graveside service is planned. The family will host a reception at 11 a.m. Sat., May 19, at 1105 28th St. in Hondo.
