Jonathan Edward Zavala, age 31, of Hondo passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Mar. 31, 1980, in San Antonio. He is the son of the late Jose M. Zavala, and Joy Ruth (Schwirian) and Jose Alvarez of Del City, OK, who survive him. He was a heating and air conditioning technician. He is also survived by his children, Jaren Josiah Zavala, Taryn Skye Zavala and Carys Aria Zavala, all of Hondo; brother, Joseph A. Zavala and wife Amanda of Devine; sister, Jodi A. Fraire and husband Aron of Del City, OK; stepbrothers, Anthony Alvarez and wife Mitsuko of San Antonio and Justin Alvarez of California; stepsisters, Michele Flores and husband Anthony of Hondo, Marisela Mares and husband Manuel of San Antonio, and Monique Alvarez of Del City, OK. Visitation will be Friday 6 to 8 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel and 10 to 10:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, prior to funeral service at 11 a.m. at Life Changing Worship Center, 253 CR 432, Hondo. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section
