Jose Luis Ramirez, age 44, of El Paso passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012, in Hondo. Born Jan. 24, 1968, in El Paso, he was the eldest son of Anthony and Noemi (Ruiz) Ramirez. A U. S. Army veteran of the war in Iraq, he earned a bachelor's degree, was a physical therapist, and had been working in the Hondo area. He is survived by his parents; daughter, Tiffany Mendez of Wichita KS; two grandsons; brothers, David Ramirez of Silver City NM and Anthony Ramirez of El Paso; and sister, Diane Ramirez of El Paso. A memorial service will be held, with inurnment at a national cemetery in Kansas.
