Jose Angel "La Polla" Vosquez, age 70, of Hondo passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010. He was born March 20, 1940, in Hondo. He worked as a superintendent in road construction. He is preceded in death by his son, Joe Anthony Vosquez. He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Jimenez and husband Carlos, Terri Ytuarte, and JoAnne Vosquez; grandchildren, Joe Louis, Derek, Samantha, Joe Alex, James, Jonathan and Joleigh; six great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Garza; and aunts, Lupe Mares and husband Isidro and Mary Vosquez, all of Hondo. Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, July 6, 11 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, St. John's Section. Pallbearers were Joe Louis Ytuarte Jr., Kris Garza, David C. DeLeon, Joe Alex "Rambo" Quintanilla, James Garcia, Michael Deleon, Raul Ytuarte and Derek Ytuarte. Honorary pallbearers were Carlos Jimenez and Ernesto Molina.
