Joyce Helen Keuper of Hondo, 72, passed away on February 1, 2019. She was born January 20, 1947, in Sherman, Texas, the daughter of Wilburn Ardell and Faye Kiser Blythe. After the passing of her husband, Brian, on September 29, 2018, she spent her final days visiting with her children and grandchildren. Joyce had a wonderful life full of love, excitement and adventure. She loved hunting, fishing, and anything that allowed time to be with family and friends. After marrying her husband, Brian Keuper, she learned the art of taxidermy and subsequently they began a career and business performing the craft she and Brian loved. Joyce spent the years working on various game ranches. While there, she offered taxidermy services, hand-raised orphaned deer, and always provided guests with comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, and her welcoming smile and spirit. Joyce gave her life to Christ as a young girl and will be waiting to greet us as we enter heaven. She is preceded in death by her husband, Brian Keuper; her parents, Wilburn and Faye Blythe; and her sister, Pamela Kaye Ralph. She is survived by her son, Scott (Robin) Martinez of Charlotte, North Carolina; her daughter, Robin Westfall of San Antonio, Texas; her daughter, Denna "DeeDee" (Brett) Loeffler of Universal City, Texas; her seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Mark (Erika) Blythe of Yancey; sister, Nelta Hoffmann of Fredericksburg; her brother-in-law, Monty Ralph of Yancey; sister, Paula (Frank) Stanley of Yancey; and sister, Donna "Lindy" (Steve) Sweeney of Stonewall. Joyce had a number of nieces and nephews, and a faithful four-legged companion, Trixie. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 10a.m. at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo, Texas. She may be remembered with a donation in her name to a charity of your choice.
