Joyce "Ma" Noblitt Haass of Biry, 72, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018. Born in San Antonio at the Santa Rosa Hospital, April 16, 1945, she was the daughter of JW and Amy Noblitt. She graduated from Devine High School in 1963. On May 9, 1964, she married Douglas Haass. They shared almost 54 wonderful years together. Her family was her pride and joy in life. She was always following her grandkids and would attend any event they were participating in. Her love was extended even further when her great-grandkids were born. She enjoyed playing with them and being there for their first steps. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Haass of Biry; children, Tony Haass and wife Nancy of Biry, Cynthia Patterson and husband Clay of Biry, Sandra Terry and husband Greg of Seguin, and Ellen Jolley of San Antonio; grandchildren, Randolph Haass and wife Lauren of Biry, Wesley Rihn of Dallas, Amie Cortez and husband Anthony of Biry, Cara Thomas and husband Jerry of Biry, Ashley Terry and fiancé Dylan Spencer of Dripping Springs, Ryan Haass and girlfriend Alicia Ortiz of Biry, and Brooke Terry of College Station; great-grandchildren Easton Hennessey, Kelvey Cortez, Daisy Rihn, Elaine Haass and Aiden Dame. Sister Barbara Wood and husband Darrell and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, JW and Amy Noblitt; in-laws, Randolph and Inez Haass; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Cecil Jolley; brother-in-law, Randy Haass; and granddaughter, Casey Patterson. She was a very beautiful, loving, caring, giving, wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her generous spirit and loving personality. Visitation ill be held Monday, April 2, 2018, from 6 to 7 pm, at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Divine Savior Lutheran Church, 405 Ingram, Devine, TX 78016. She was one of the cofounders of The Old Iron Trail Ride and this year the annual trail ride will be in memory of her.
