Joyce M. Schmidt Mollgaard, born March 2, 1941, in Hondo, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, in San Antonio after a three-year battle with breast cancer. She was 75. Joyce is reunited in heaven with her parents, Overton K. Schmidt and Dovie Watson Schmidt; brothers, Overton K. Jr., Calvin and George; and mother-in-law, Gene Stieldorf. She is survived by her husband, Dennis L. Mollgaard; her daughter, Connie (Ralph) Flores and their children, Christine, Robert and Rebecca; her son, Dennis (Holly) Mollgaard Jr. and their children, Sophie and Sam; her brother, J. D. Schmidt; and sister-in-law, Janice Kurtz, along with her many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors and fellow basketball fans. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday following the visitation.
