Juan Garcia DeLeon of Hondo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 11, 2006, at the age of 60. He was born in Hondo, Texas, March 8, 1946, the son of Jose Angel & Teresa (Garcia) DeLeon. Juan served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Sergeant He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Bernavel DeLeon; brothers, Trini DeLeon, Julio DeLeon; sister, Josefa Alvarez. Juan is survived by his wife Jesusita (Bermea) DeLeon; daughters, Leticia Bernal and husband Ray of Hondo, Sylvia D. Soliz and husband Willie of Yancey, Linda B. DeLeon of Hondo; brother, Manuel DeLeon of Plainview; sisters, Lola DeLeon of Plainview, Mary DeLeon of Kerrville, Lupe Amador of Oklahoma, Diana Mares of Kerrville. The Visitation will be from 05:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. at the the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home on Tuesday December 12, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 13, 10:00 a.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The pallbearers were Omar R. DeLeon, Oscar DeLeon, Johnny Becerril, Jeff Gonzales, Joe Ricky Romero and Rey Martinez. Burial will follow at the Yancey Cemetery.
