Juanita O. Castillo, age 81, of Hondo passed away in Tennessee on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011. Born Dec. 20, 1929, in D'Hanis, TX, she was the daughter of Cipriano and Amada (Gudino) Oranday. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eufasio Castillo Sr.; siblings, Estefana Reyes, Estanislado and Tomas Oranday, and infant siblings, Maria, Jose, and Concepcion. Juanita is survived by two sons, Eufrasio Castillo Jr. and wife Ernestina "Tina", and Cipriano Castillo, all of Hondo; five daughters, Delfina C. Dellinger and husband Steve of Tennessee, Esmeralda Castillo, Olga C. Alvarado and husband Eddie, Esther C. Romo, and Sofia C. Alvarez and husband Domingo, all of Hondo; her charges, Zachry A. Castillo and Jonathan I. Castillo, both of Hondo; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Severa Fernandez, Maria Torres, Irene Escamilla; and brothers, Pedro, Ramon, Abran, Anselmo, and Maxillano Oranday. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 23, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hondo. Interment will be in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
