Juanita (Perez) Garza, age 98, of Hondo passed away Feb. 13, 2013. Born in Hondo on March 30, 1914, she was the daughter of Jose C. and Sarah (Hernandez) Perez. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Crispin Garza; and brother, Manuel Aurelio Perez. Juanita is survived by her cousins and their families, Santos Perez, Corina Amaro, and Ernestina Mendoza, all of San Antonio, Bentura Perez and Lupe Hernandez, all of Saginaw, MI; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 17, 5 to 8 p.m., at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 18, 10 a.m., at Primera Iglesia Bautista Mexicana, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section. Bearers were Gostavo Perez, Juan J. Mendoza, Elias Ruiz, Steven Lopez, Marc Lopez, and Reggie Perez.
