Juanita "Nita" (Williams) Zerr, age 79, of Hondo, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010. She was born June 25, 1931, in Spearman, the daughter of Olin Jackson and Ruby Christene (Riggs) Williams. She was a homemaker and a beautician. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony "Tony" Zerr; daughter, Theresa Zerr Smith; and brother, Monte Williams. She is survived by her sons, Robert "Bob" Zerr and wife Jill of Dunlay, J. Stephen Zerr and wife Debra of Hondo and Harold "H" Zerr and wife Amanda of Hondo; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, O. Jay Williams of California and Bill Williams and wife Judy of Hondo; and sister, Jean Zerr and husband Dennis of Hondo. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Pallbearers were Joseph Zerr, Monte Smith, Tony Zerr, RJ Zerr, Jackson Zerr and Megan Zer. Honorary bearers were Sallie Scott, Kate Zerr and Madeline Zerr. Entombment was at Hondo Cemetery, St. John's Mausoleum.
