Judith "Judy" Elizabeth Coyle Tompkins, age 52, of Hondo, TX, passed away May 26, 2008 in San Antonio. Judy was born July 1, 1955, in Hondo, TX to the late John Anthony and Malford Gloria Andrews Coyle. Judy graduated from Hondo High School in 1974. During her high school years she was a cheerleader for 3 years, homecoming queen her senior year and she was also in the band. For many years Judy was a successful travel agent for her family's travel agency. Judy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Junior Service League and the 3M Club. On May 11, 1986 she and Dr. Thomas "Tom" K. Tompkins, Sr., D.D.S. were married. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Thomas "Tom" K. Tompkins, Sr., D.D.S. of Hondo; children, Jennifer Elizabeth Stock and her husband Capt. Michael Stock of Quakertown, PA, Scarlett McCaw Tompkins of Hondo, and Thomas K. Tompkins, Jr. of Hurst, TX; grandchildren, Aidan Stock, Gavin Stock, and Bailey Tompkins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Lydia Coyle of Victoria, Pat Coyle of Hondo, Tim Coyle of San Antonio, Douglas and Renie Coyle, James and Janis Coyle all of Hondo; numerous nieces and nephews. The Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo will open for visitation on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo with interment to follow in the Hondo Cemetery.
