Judy Aleene Weynand Attaway, age 67, of San Antonio, passed away on May 15, 2016, from complications associated with Alzheimer's . She was born in Hondo, Texas on February 24, 1949, daughter of Lawrence Henry Weynand and Emma Jean Weynand. Survivors include her son Lance Russel Attaway, his wife Anita Marie and grandsons Landon Robert, Lawson Ryland and Layton Russel, all of Ladera Ranch, California; her daughter Mardy Deanne Attaway and granddaughter Allie Nicole and grandson Kyle Andrew, all of D'Hanis. Survivors also include her mother, Emma Jean Weynand, sister Dottie Wolff and husband Ray of D'Hanis, sister Debbie Werth of New Braunfels, sister Dori Stiles and husband Mike of San Antonio, sister Tina Mumme and husband Roy of D'Hanis and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She was proceeded in death by her father, Lawrence Henry Weynand, brother Ronald Weynand, husband of 34 years, Luther Russell "Rusty" Attaway, Jr. and their infant son. Judy was a beautiful person with a sweet disposition who always placed God and family as top priorities - a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Judy worked for many years at U.T. Health Science Center followed by the Cancer Therapy and Research Center for 18-years. Her love for the outdoors included trips to the river, gardening, daily walks and bird watching. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Thanks to family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel in Hondo. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 19, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in D'Hanis.
