Judy Berry Johnson of Yancey passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020. She was 82.

Born Mar. 14, 1938, in Kerrville, she was the daughter of Earl and Ellen Wilson Berry.

An accomplished pianist, for many years and until a few months prior to her passing, she enjoyed providing accompaniment for Yancey United Methodist Church and Devine Christian Church worship services.

She loved to crochet and to cook for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Donald Johnson; and sister, Betty Stacy.

Survivors are her children, Sherry (Mark) Sigler of Hohenwald TN, Craig (Kathy) Johnson of Columbia TN, Laurie (Doug) Caffey of Yancey, and Kenneth (Nikki) Johnson of Pflugerville; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Don Berry of Yancey.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
