Judy Kay Tucker, born July 20, 1951, passed peacefully to her Lord the morning of Monday, March 3, 2014. She was 62 years of age. Judy loved music, writing and learning. Many remember, as a child she loved playfully conducting school, always casting herself in the role of head school mistress. Many childhood friends have stated remembering this fondly. Judy Kay, formerly from Cotulla and a graduate of Cotulla High School, has lived the past 13 years at Community Care Center in Hondo. All who knew her in Cotulla and Hondo loved her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Julia Keithley Tucker, and is survived by her sister, Jeanine Tucker Love of Austin; cousins, Fran Adami of Cotulla, Lee and Linda Adami of San Antonio, Keith and Amanda Adami of Lewisville; and many close family friends. Visitation at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at St. Timothy Episcopal Church, 305 N. Choctaw, in Cotulla, will be followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m., at Cotulla Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Adami, Wayne Franklin, Billy Franklin, Roy Franklin, Frank Franklin and Keith Franklin. Judy's family wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Hondo Community Care Center for their years of loving care and to all who have supported the family over these past years.
