Katheryn Louise "Kay" Phillips Erkert of Hondo/D'Hanis, passed away Wednesday, March  19, 2025.  She was 78.

Born Oct. 28, 1946, in Houston, she was the daughter of Dewey and Ruby Louise Standifer Phillips, who precede her in death.

Kay was a resident of the SKP Park in D'Hanis and a member of the church of Christ in Hondo. She loved country-western music. She was a gentle, loving soul, always willing to help others.

Survivors are her husband, Ronald "Ron" Erkert; two daughters; several grandchildren; and brother, Eugene Phillips.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, at the church of Christ, 2302 Avenue M in Hondo.
