Kathryn Elizabeth Graff Chapman, age 85, 8 months, and 17 days, of Hondo, passed away April 15, 2004, in Hondo. Kathryn was born on July 29, 1918, in Rural Hondo, TX, to George Emil & Annie Theresa (Mechler) Graff, Sr. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: George Emil Graff, Jr., John Henry Graff; sister: Evelyn A. Lutz. She is survived by her husband: Gipson P. Chapman; son: Jim Chapman and wife Liz of Austin; daughter: Jeri Stanfield and husband Pete of Lakehills; grandchildren: Scott Conover and wife Windy, Robyn O'Bryan and husband Mike, Zac Chapman and wife Laura, Eric Chapman; great grandchildren: Tyler Chapman O'Bryan, Kathryn Jo O'Bryan, Wyatt Edwin Conover. The Rosary is scheduled for 2:00 pm at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Monday April 19, the Funeral Mass will follow the Rosary. Burial will be in the Hondo Cemetery, St. John's Section.
