Kathryn Maurine Perkins passed from this earth on Monday, January 20, 2013 with loved ones by her side. Maurine was a true servant of the Lord, as testified by the life she chose to lead as a Christian and by all who came to know her. She was born October 14, 1919 to parents Ada Valleen Riggs Probst and Steven Kelly Probst. On January 25, 1941, she married Frank Hudson Perkins, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers, Forrest, Steven, Henry, Frank, and Horace. She held various jobs throughout Atascosa County over the years, and was involved in many civic organizations. She worked in the schools with PTA, was a Pleasanton Band Booster, Board of Trustees wife, and various other endeavors. Her main focus, though, was always her faith in God, and her love of family. Together, Maurine and Frank raised five children and brought many souls to Christ. Her boundless love and giving spirit will be sorely missed. She is survived by son Frank H. Perkins, Jr. and wife Linda of Hondo, daughter Stephanie K. Domke and husband Warren, of Pleasanton, daughter A. Jeanene Reese and husband Jack, of Abilene, Fr. Timothy P. Perkins and wife Jody, of Arlington, Valerie P. Shurbet and husband Mark, of Pleasanton, sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, numerous other family and many friends. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W Oaklawn Road, Pleasanton, Friday, January 25, 2013, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at Pleasanton Church of Christ, 1003 N Main Street, Pleasanton, Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 2:00PM. Interment will follow in Pleasanton City Cemetery, Pleasanton.
