Kenneth Dale "Kirk" Kuykendall Jr., age 32, of Hondo passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009. Born Nov. 28, 1976, in Houston, he was the son of Roylene (Burton) and Kenneth D. Kuykendall Sr. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Leroy Burton and George Small; grandmother, Susan Burton; uncles, Frank and Leroy Burton; and aunt, Sharon Schribner. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Roylene and Dan Small of Hondo; father, Kenneth Kuykendall of Odessa; son, Kenneth Dale Kuykendall III, and daughter, Emily Che Kuykendall, both of Hondo; daughter, Hannah Kaylene Kuykendall of Louisiana; and son Houston MaKenna Kuykendall of San Antonio; sister, Stacy Urrutia and husband Tony of Moore; brother, Cliff Small of Hondo; companion, Athena Alderete; niece, Gina Booth; and nephews, Dyllan Morin and Colby Small. Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Interment will be at Yancey Cemetery.
